Samsung just dropped the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge — a new addition to the Galaxy S25 lineup.

Don't get us wrong, the Galaxy S series had us in a chokehold with its powerful, reliable, and modern features. But in recent years, it started to feel a bit... predictable. Until now.

The Galaxy S25 Edge is the phone we’ve been waiting for. It’s super thin, sleek, and might just be the most exciting member of the S25 family. For the first time in years, I’m excited about Samsung again. (Sorry, Apple.)

And here's why.

Meet Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge

There was a time when Samsung was bold and didn't follow trends. Somewhere along the way, the spark dimmed, and at some point, the brand started to make every Galaxy S (around the S22 era) feel like another iPhone.

I didn’t switch to iPhone because I loved Apple. I switched because Samsung stopped acting like Samsung.

With the launch of the S25 Edge, the Samsung I love is back!

It's back in the game with the Galaxy S25 Edge, launched in May 2025 — and it’s a beast in a supermodel’s body. We agree with experts saying it's one of 2025's best-looking phones.

Just 5.8mm thin, 163g, wrapped in titanium, and topped with Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 — this thing feels premium without the bulk.

The 6.7” AMOLED display hits 2600 nits, so good luck finding a glare. Inside? A Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Elite, 12GB RAM, and up to 512GB storage. Android 15 and One UI 7 bring Galaxy AI features like Nightography and Audio Eraser for next-level photos and sound.

Cameras? 200MP main + 12MP ultrawide — no telephoto, but it still shoots like a pro. Battery? 3900mAh with fast wired and wireless charging.

Comes in Icy Blue, Silver, or Jet Black, starting at $1,099. Pre-order and you’ll snag a free storage bump. This phone’s not just thin — it’s bold again.

Is Ultra-Thin the Only Trick Up the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge About?

I saw the Galaxy S25 Edge in person, and after spending some time with it, there's no doubt it's something else. It's beautiful inside and out.

There it was: a full-fledged flagship phone with 200 megapixel cameras, no compromises in power or design. I was honestly stunned. That one moment brought it all back; the excitement, the respect, the feeling. This was the Samsung I’d been missing.

Some asked, the S25 Plus has a bigger battery. So why pick the Edge?

Well… why would anyone buy a Lotus instead of a Volvo wagon? It’s not about practicality. It’s about purpose. It’s about progress. The S25 Edge isn’t trying to win a battery war. It reminds me of when Samsung phones used to feel futuristic. This one does.

Besides, I charge my phone every 2–3 days anyway. So for me? That “smaller” battery is still more than enough.

Innovation doesn’t always have to be useful in the traditional sense. Sometimes, it’s just about moving the needle and reminding people what’s possible.

How Is the Battery on the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge?

If there’s one thing people keep pointing fingers at with the Galaxy S25 Edge, it’s the battery. At 3900mAh, it’s not exactly massive — especially for a flagship. Many folks were hoping Samsung would go all-in with a newer, more energy-dense silicon-carbon battery. That would’ve been the dream — ultra-slim and long-lasting.

So, how does the S25 Edge actually perform?

Well… It’s not bad. Not mind-blowing either. Just somewhere in the middle, and feedback so far has been mixed.

Over at SamMobile, one of their editors Daniel Scuteri shared positive results in real-world testing. Battery life held up better than expected, especially considering the size and power of the phone.

On the flip side, YouTuber Adam Matlock raised concerns about battery drain in early use.

Fair point. But here’s something worth noting: Samsung’s adaptive battery software takes time to learn your habits. Give it a week or two, and performance tends to settle in as the system figures out when and how you use your phone.

So, is the 3900mAh battery a dealbreaker? Honestly, not really. It’s not amazing, but it’s far from terrible, and definitely better than the tiny 2800mAh battery in the iPhone 17 Air.

Bottom line? If you’re expecting all-day heavy use with zero top-ups, maybe look at the S25 Plus. But if you want bleeding-edge design with good-enough battery life, the Edge holds its own.

Galaxy S25 Edge Cameras: A Surprise Hit or a Step Back?

Let’s be honest — most people only care about two things when it comes to phones: battery life and camera quality. And with the Galaxy S25 Edge, Samsung clearly wanted to make a statement.

They dropped a massive 200MP main sensor into this ultra-thin frame. Yep, two hundred. It’s bold, and honestly, kind of wild — but in a good way.

So how do the photos turn out?

In short: pretty solid. The S25 Edge delivers sharp, vibrant shots — exactly what you’d expect from a flagship Samsung device.

Here’s what Park Burton had to say on X.com:

No doubt, Samsung’s camera game is still strong — maybe not quite on the level of the S25 Ultra, iPhone 16 Pro Max, or Pixel 9 Pro XL.

But hey, the Galaxy S25 Edge still slays!

The Stupid Move That Goes Against the Galaxy S25 Edge’s Original Purpose

Definitely, the Samsung S25 Edge (potentially the iPhone 17 Air) starts a new era of flagship smartphones: extremely thin with super powerful chips.

But I did find something hilarious — these tech companies pioneer to make such crazy thin phones, but lots of people buy cases that make the phone so much thicker just to keep it safe.

What’s the purpose? Why spend all that money on a gadget that starts a new era, only to cover it up and make it no different than others — but more expensive, with fewer features, and less powerful than the Galaxy S25 Ultra?

If you do this, why don’t you just get the S25 Ultra, which can be cheaper with promotions and is more powerful?

Stop the nonsense — try our super thin Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge aramid fiber case.

It’s so thin and light that it feels like no case at all, but it still provides MagSafe and Qi2 support, along with extra grip to make sure you can hold your phone securely.

Conclusion

The S25 Edge doesn’t try to be the most powerful or the cheapest. It simply focuses on being enjoyable to use, something that’s been missing from many modern phones.

In a sea of flat screens and camera bumps, Samsung took a bold step with the Edge, and it paid off.

This phone reminded me why I started liking Samsung in the first place.
