Both aim for minimalism, but while Totallee keeps it ultra-light, Thinborne delivers slim strength. The best pick depends on how much protection you want with your minimal look.

What Our Customers Say About Us

Here are authentic reviews from our very satisfied customers:

thinborne iphone 16 pro max case Amazon review

“Wow - They've done it again!”

“So, full disclosure, I'm a big fan of the Caseborne rugged cases. I've used several of them over the past few years on my various Samsung phones and for my wife's iPhone. I decided to make the jump over to an iPhone 15 Pro recently and was looking for a slim case. I settled on a competitor's case that was ok, but far from ideal. Logging into to Amazon one day, this Thinborne case popped up, and it was from the same Caseborne folks so I had to try it!

Now this is a great slim case which will lead some to complain that it does not offer enough protection. That's probably true, but the purpose of this case is to be slim and minimalist which is achieves well. The description does not say this, but it comes with tempered glass screen protectors! They went on easily without any bubbles and protect the screen very well. So - you get great back and side protection along with strong screen protection as well.

I remain a fan of these folks.... more so than my previous favorite case manufacturer. I just saw that they offer a Thinborne case for Airpods and will be trying that next!”

“Superb - and decent value”

“It’s impossible

To not compare this to Pitaka, the most well-known brand making aramid fiber cases (I think). I had this same style for the 14 pro and loved it.

Thinborne’s version is flawless. I can only compare the Pitaka 14 vs the Thinborne 15 variants. The most notable difference is the metal camera ring vs plastic on the Pitaka. I am gentle on my cases but the soft plastic was the only part that was marked up with nicks. I expect the metal ring to wear much better.

The feel and texture is nice. Fit is very snug, even slightly hard to remove. Magnets are strong, 2nd strongest I’ve ever had. Personally I’ve never had an issue with magnets being too weak but strong magnets are so much more satisfying.

This case come with screen protectors. I already have one installed so I suppose I now have extras. But it’s a nice added value in a world of increasing case costs.”

Wrap Up

In the end, both Thinborne and Totallee deliver on slim protection for the iPhone 16 Pro Max. In different ways. If you prefer premium materials, stronger MagSafe, and added extras, Thinborne is worth the splurge. But if you want a clean, ultra-minimal case at a lower price, Totallee keeps it simple and sleek. It all comes down to what matters most to you.
