1. Thinborne VS Latercase Super Thin S25 Edge Case - The Materials
When comparing S25 Edge cases, the biggest difference starts with the materials.
The Latercase S25 Edge case is made of aramid fiber, but they never mention what exact type or denier of their materials. From the online pictures from the official site, and customer posts on Reddit, mostly they are using 1500D aramid fiber.
In contrast, the Thinborne case is crafted from 600D aramid fiber, they are produly about it: at least 35% more expensive than regular brands.
In general, aramid fiber is a super tough material. It’s really thin, super strong (even stronger than steel), and very light. It doesn’t need any extra coating to be strong or feel good. It has a cool woven texture and is used in things like airplanes and race cars.
Both cases are made of aramid fiber, but from what we’ve learned in our aramid fiber accessories business, we always choose 600D aramid fiber. It’s more premium, costs more, offers finer details, and provides better grip in hand.
