I’m Karl, the boss at Thinborne. I’m sorry to inform you that our Pixel 9 Pro Fold cases have some design flaws.
Due to changes in the phone’s wireless charging coil, our case may not align properly.
We’re addressing the issue and will have a revised design ready by September 25.
You can either receive the updated cover without returning the old one or follow our return process if you prefer.
As a small, new business, we’ve received a lot of love and trust from our customers. Designing phone cases for unreleased phones is always a huge challenge and risk.
In addition to our apology, we want you to understand the details of how we’re addressing the issue and the solutions we have for you.
The root of cause
What Happened To Our Pixel 9 Pro Fold Case
First off, our Pixel 9 Pro Fold case might have a fitting problem with MagSafe and wireless charging since Google changed the wireless charging coil inside the Pixel 9 Pro Fold.We tested our Pixel 9 Pro Fold case a month ago using a larger wireless charging pad (4 by 4 inches), and it worked fine, so we didn’t catch this issue earlier. However, our MagSafe array inside the case is positioned higher than the coil in the phone.
The Fix
What We Are Doing to Solve the Problem
We have been working on the problem and managed to get our hands on the actual Pixel Pro Fold.
We’ve already identified solutions to ensure the alignment works properly and have begun manufacturing accordingly.
Also, we improved the fitment, it is now line up with the phone pretty well.

How Can We Make It Right For You?
Again, we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. We shipped the cases to you on September 1, 2024, despite noticing the problem because we wanted to ensure you still had the protection you needed.
We’re not trying to be difficult or cause frustration, and we have two solutions for you:
1. We will ship the revised/improved whole new case (front and back) to you as soon as we receive it. You do not need to return the old one.
