How To Install Screen Protector from Thinborne
We’ve received some emails about issues with installing tempered glass screen protectors and complaints about the fingerprint sensor not working.
The fingerprint sensor does work with the protector installed, but there are a few steps to follow to ensure proper functionality:
Step-by-Step Installation:
1. Clean Your Screen Thoroughly: Use the alcohol wipe and microfiber cloth included in the kit to remove all dust, fingerprints, and oil from your screen.
2. Align the Screen Protector: Carefully align the tempered glass with the edges of your screen. Make sure everything lines up perfectly before pressing down.
3. Apply the Screen Protector: Once aligned, gently press the screen protector onto your phone screen. Start from the center and press outwards to remove any air bubbles.
4. Re-register Your Fingerprint: • Important: If you already had a fingerprint registered before installing the screen protector, delete the old fingerprint in your phone’s settings. • After the screen protector is installed, go to your phone’s Fingerprint Settings and register your fingerprint again. This helps the sensor adapt to the added layer.
5. Enable Touch Sensitivity (If Available): Many phones have a setting to increase touch sensitivity when using screen protectors. Check your phone’s settings under Display for an option like “Touch Sensitivity” and toggle it on for better responsiveness.
By following these steps, you should have no trouble with your screen protector installation, and your fingerprint sensor will work as expected.
