Can you use a Pixel 11 case on a Pixel 10? What we know about the Pixel 11 series

Although Google hasn't officially announced the Pixel 11 series yet, multiple leaks paint a fairly consistent picture. The next-generation phone is expected to keep almost the same overall design as the Pixel 10, with only modest refinements to the body and camera system.

However, "almost the same" isn't the same as "case compatible." Here's a closer look at what the latest leaks tell us.

The latest Pixel 11 leaks suggest Google isn't making major changes to the phone's overall footprint. Refer to the table below for the leaked dimensions compared to the Pixel 10.

The leaked measurements are remarkably close, but they also vary slightly depending on the source. This suggests that the overall size is largely settled, even if Google hasn't confirmed the final production dimensions yet.

A difference of 0.1 to 0.2 mm is unlikely to matter when holding the phone, but it can affect how precisely a case fits. Case manufacturers, however, work with much tighter tolerances. Their molds are built around the phone's final dimensions, including the corners, side buttons, and internal clearances. Until those measurements are finalized, even a fraction of a millimeter can be enough to require a revised case design.

The camera bar is another reason not to assume the two generations will share accessories.

Current renders suggest Google is keeping its signature horizontal camera bar on the Pixel 11, but with subtle refinements, such as a fully black housing instead of the previously used more color-matched design. The display size is also expected to remain at 6.3 inches, with most visual changes limited to the rear camera area.

Even minor camera housing changes can require a different case because the camera opening is one of the most precisely fitted parts of the design. A mismatched cutout may press against the camera bar or leave gaps around it.

That's why we wouldn't assume a Pixel 10 case and Pixel 11 case are interchangeable based on leaked renders alone.

The camera isn't the only area that needs to line up. Case manufacturers also have to account for the flash, microphones, speakers, USB-C port, and other hardware openings. Misaligned cutouts can partially cover microphones, interfere with charging accessories, or reduce protection around exposed areas.

So, until the final hardware is confirmed, we recommend using a case designed specifically for your phone instead of assuming cross-generation compatibility.
